Elliott Opens New Assembly Plant
Elliott Modular, the UK’s leading supplier of modular buildings, has held the official opening ceremony of its new Assembly Plant and Refurbishment Centre at Carnaby, East Yorkshire.
The ceremony was attended by over 150 people including Elliott customers, suppliers and distinguished guests. The “cutting the ribbon” ceremony was performed by the Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Councillor Christopher Matthews.
The opening of the 13 acre site has created over 90 jobs for local people but the number of workers on the site is anticipated to rise in the future as demand grows in the modular building industry.
The new site was selected primarily because of its position in the heart of a region closely associated with the modular buildings industry, thereby providing access to an experienced local supplier base and work force.
Elliott Managing Director, Paul O’Kelly said, “The opening of the new Elliott assembly plant in Carnaby is the culmination of a 2.5 year development plan to provide Elliott Modular with a world class Modular Building assembly and refurbishment facility with the flexibility to service our customers for the next 10-20 years.”
The new Carnaby assembly plant and refurbishment centre will enable Elliott Modular to increase its national output of modular buildings that are delivered and installed nationwide. These are rented or sold in the public and private sectors and commonly used as school classrooms, temporary offices or health centres and can be installed to either single or multi-storeys.
Elliott Modular is a division of Elliott, the UK’s largest provider of rental accommodation facilities and a subsidiary of Algeco Scotsman which operates the largest fleet of rental accommodation facilities in the world employing over 5,200 people in 21 countries.
