Elliott Fastrack were selected as the Principle Contractors via a Develop and Construct method of procurement of this two-form entry JMI school.
Through using a fast track prefabricated timber frame method of construction, maintaining all original internal and external architectural features, the on-site works period was reduced to ten months.
The school building layout is based around a triangular courtyard linking the assembly hall and the other shared facilities with the junior and infant classroom clusters. Each of these classroom clusters contains a central hub area for shared resource areas such as the library and a small group room.
The building includes an assembly hall, multi purpose hall, dining area, kitchen and other supporting accommodation. In addition there is a 30-place nursery, and a speech therapy unit for 10 pupils.
